When it comes to supporting our firemen’s fund, sponsors may be as actively or passively involved as they like, since both kinds of supporters are important to the cause. Dr. Robert Meth values the work of first responders and he shows it as an annual sponsor of the LAFD Invitational golf tournament, held every September.
The best part is he participates without a set of clubs and without ever stepping onto the course. Dr. Meth is one of the many donors that graciously supports the event as a highly valued Tee Sign Sponsor.
For Dr. Meth, giving back to Los Angeles firefighters and their families is meaningful. “The first responders are amazing people and they do a wonderful job for us,” he said. “They should be supported, especially when they give their lives for us, and their families should be supported.”
Dr. Robert Meth has been practicing in West Los Angeles for more than 35 years. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been named one of Southern California’s Super Doctors in the field of Allergy & Immunology.
While he is a busy allergist with his own practice, Dr. Meth finds it easy to be involved with the charity. As a second-time sponsor of the LAFD Invitational, his involvement and the work required was as uncomplicated as writing a check.
Dr. Meth also pointed out another way he and others can help the charity, which is by acting as an ambassador and simply spreading the word. He became a sponsor of the event after learning about it from Attorney Gold Lee of the law firm Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke, Sherwin, & Lee. Gold has been a longtime supporter of the event. Sharing their passion for the cause has truly helped the charity raise more money and more awareness, all of which means more families will receive the assistance they need in times of crisis.
