Ventura County FD Owl Rescue

The Ventura County Fire Department handcrew helped save this injured Great Horned Owl from the Maria Fire. The owl was taken to Camarillo Wildlife Rehabilitation and is already on the mend.

According to CBS News in Los Angeles, these firefighters found the Great Horned Owl stuck in tree branches and suffering from smoke inhalation.
The owl was found in Somis, California, a small agricultural community in Ventura County. CBS L.A. reports the owl was weak and confused and suffering from smoke inhalation
