JM Eagle’s Relief Effort Stands as a Beacon of Corporate Generosity

When Southern California’s foothill communities faced the fury of the Eaton Fire on January 7, 2025, an inferno that raced through 14,000 acres in just hours, JM Eagle did not stay on the sidelines. As the world’s leading plastic pipe manufacturer headquartered in Los Angeles, JM Eagle, led by Chairman and CEO Walter Wang and Co‑CEO Shirley Wang, stepped forward not just as a donor but as a partner to those who protect us. Learn more about JM Eagle and their partnership with the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund by watching the video below!

Why JM Eagle Answers the Call

For JM Eagle, community is not a buzzword; it is home. The Wang family witnessed firsthand the courage of Los Angeles Fire Department crews who fought to save neighbors’ homes even as their own neighborhoods burned. Motivated by that selflessness, Walter and Shirley Wang committed $1.5 million to wildfire relief across four key foundations, the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Foundation to equip and support first responders in both immediate response and long‑term rebuilding efforts.

How They’re Supporting Our Heroes

As shown in the video above, the Wangs unveiled a tailored relief program for more than two dozen LAFD families displaced by the Eaton & Palisades Fires. Their initiative rests on four pillars:

  • Housing Stipends, rental or hotel vouchers were distributed quickly so families secure safe lodging while homes are restored.
  • Furniture Replacement, grants covering beds, seating, and kitchen essentials to help families turn houses back into homes.
  • Utility Assistance, coverage for past‑due and upcoming bills, including electricity, gas, and water, to prevent service interruptions.
  • Childcare Support, funding for childcare services so firefighter parents can return to duty and recovery meetings without worrying about their children’s safety.

Join the Effort

True recovery happens when individuals and corporations unite. Inspired by JM Eagle’s leadership, you can make a direct impact today. Visit GiveToAHero.org/Donate to contribute to Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund’s programs. Together, we ensure that those who run toward danger never face its aftermath alone.
