Fire Resources

During fire season, most of Southern California is on high alert during red flag warning periods. Be sure to monitor your local and area news for the most up to date information regarding incidents, evacuations, weather forecasts and more. Some cities and counties offer emergency alert programs, be sure to sign up for one if offered in your neighborhood.

The LAFD has “Ready, Set Go!” preparedness tips for you to read and consider now, click here.

If there is time to prepare your home BEFORE to a potential evacuation, here is Cal Fire’s pre-evacuation preparations list for inside and outside your home. If your family or your home are in imminent danger, evacuate immediately.

Having supplies for each member of your household is an important step for evacuation preparation. Cal Fire recommends having a three-day supply of non-perishable food and three gallons of water per person. See Cal Fire’s full emergency supply kit checklist here.
