Innovative Kindness

Express ScriptsExpress Scripts manages more than a billion prescriptions each year for tens of millions of people. Express Scripts strives to improve lives, not only through its business, but also through community service.

Every year Express Scripts donates to the LAFD Invitational golf tournament, which directly benefits the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund. Helping our firefighters and their families is simply not possible without the generous contributions of sponsors like Express Scripts.

As an example of the company’s dedication, Marlene Casillas, Development & Marketing Director for Widows & Orphans, cites the moment when a new sponsorship level was introduced. She said, “Express Scripts became our first ever Shirt Sponsor. They covered the costs for an expense that, in prior years, had to come out of the event budget. By stepping up in this manner, Express Scripts truly helped us net a larger donation amount for the charity than ever before.”

And the feeling is mutual. Bassam Hattar, Senior Account Executive at Express Scripts, said, “When we work together, we all win. Express Scripts values our relationship with [Widows & Orphans]. Growing up in the Los Angeles area I am grateful for the sacrifices every firefighters makes serving and protecting our communities. We are proud to support the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund.”
