City National Bank believes in helping its customers by providing banking, investment and trust services. The company also believes in helping our firefighter heroes by supporting the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund.
For Senior Vice President Sergio Sepulveda, donating to the charity is a way to acknowledge and thank the firefighting community. He said, “I am grateful to live in a world where brave men and women volunteer to save and protect people like me. I truly respect them and salute their efforts.”
City National Bank has sponsored both Hope for Firefighters and the LAFD Invitational, two of Widows & Orphans’ largest annual fundraisers. After learning of the charity in 2006, Sergio decided to donate as a way to give back to our heroes. “Firefighters are hardworking people that risk their lives for our community,” he said, “and [Widows & Orphans] is a wonderful organization that supports these courageous men and women, including their loved ones.”
Based in Los Angeles, City National Bank was founded by entrepreneurs 60 years ago and has grown into the 24th largest bank in America. With 77 offices (including 16 full-service regional centers all over the country), City National and its investment affiliates manage or administer $65.8 billion in client investment assets.
Thankfully, Sergio’s interactions with firefighters have been strictly of the non-emergency variety. He said, “I’ve been fortunate that I’ve never needed to call a firefighter and that my experiences with firefighters have all been at a social event level.” We look forward to seeing Sergio and other City National Bank staff members at future events.
